Bright Things: New York Fashion Week 2012

Here at Eki, you know that we love colours that pop! Whether it be summer or winter, we always like the brighter side of things. Now that fashion Week is upon us, we take a look at some of the bright things brought to us by some of New York’s finest in their Autumn/Winter 2012 collections. Watch out for London next week. At Diane Von Furstenberg we saw hues of red, pink, the odd splash of greens, light blue and leaf prints. Furstenberg stayed true to its signature wrap dress style. We see loose wrap dresses coupled with trouser wraps throughout the collection.

At New York we got a glimpse of fellow Brit, Northern Irish designer Dean Quinn. He has certainly picked up a thing or two from Versace where he worked on the Atelier section (Haute Couture) of the brand.

Eki Orleans
Hazel Eki Aggrey-Orleans, the award winning designer, is the creative force behind the high-end London-based fashion-label Eki Orleans. Born in Germany, raised in Nigeria and educated in London, her design aesthetic has been strongly influenced by this diverse mix of cultures. She draws inspiration from all of her cultural experiences, most notably, however, from her West African heritage.
