Mario Epanya for Eki Orleans – AW12/13 Campaign shoot

Working with the photographer Mario Epanya was a great experience. I had heard of Mario before but never in my wildest dreams did I think I would actually get to work with him. We met up during my exhibition in Paris during PFW. We had planned a night shoot outside by La Seine but of course on this particular day, it happened to rain. Typical. What were our alternatives? We had to think of an alternative, which meant that some shots would have to be indoors. On our way, it did stop raining and so we were able to do 2 shots outside on the streets. Fatou Noba was amazing on set – she moved like a beautiful ballerina spite the freezing temperatures.
We then continued our shooting indoors as it was just too cold. Once we were indoors, Fatou took her modelling to another level. She absolutely came to life …. and I already thought she was amazing!
Mario, being a perfectionist was much happier with our shots indoors. Not only is he a very talented photographer but he is also a fantastic make up artist. If only he could have made me look as stunning as he did Fatou. Maybe next time I can persuade him 🙂
I feel so privileged to have worked with Mario and look forward to seeing the finished products. I have had a sneak preview and what I have seen so far, I looooove!!
