What Can We Look Forward To At London Fashion Week? We take a look at Matthew Williamson

It looks like Matthew Williamson will be giving us prints (and some colour) at London Fashion Week. Here’s a sneakpeek courtesy of his Lookbook collection. For Autumn Winter ‘12 Williamson says he was inspired by “a girl on a modern nomadic adventure through winter Morocco. A journey where tradition meets modernism, drawing inspiration from hedonistic palaces filled with graphic tiles and rich patchwork textiles, fused with technical fabrications from the coastal surf in clean lines and silhouette. Expect to see mid tones develop in intense hues of orange, deep raspberry, and Prussian blue, accented with pops of acid fluorescents.” Now that’s what we like to hear!

Here’s a look at Williamson’s S/S 2012 collection. Infused with rich colour, endless floaty dresses of silk and subtle prints. For this collection Matthew was inspired by Japanese textiles. ‘The line is aimed at a young contemporary girl, who loves colour, print and embellishment.’
